Professor Arun Kumar Shukla, a scientist at the Department of Bio Science and Bio Engineering at IIT Kanpur, and his team have discovered this special receptor. The structure of a cell receptor in the human body has been discovered, named Duffy antigen receptor. This special receptor protein acts as a gateway in the cell, which also spreads bacteria of many infections, including malaria parasites, Plasmodium vivax and dangerous factors like bacteria, staphylococcus, and Yash. This receptor is found on the surface of red blood cells and other cells.
