Joint action of STF, ATS and local police, network exposed to India-Bangladesh border exposed
Bokaro/Jharkhand. The illegal weapon factory operated on Kalali Road in Sadadih Bazar in Jharkhand has been revealed. A joint team of Kolkata STF, Ranchi ATS, Barmo police station and Gandhinagar police station raided late Monday evening and seized arms making equipment, semi -manufactured guns and large amounts of materials from this factory.
According to the information received, this illegal factory had been operating in the residential area behind a marriage palace for a long time. During the raid, the team has also recovered illegal liquor being made in the name of a well -known English liquor brand from the spot. Initial investigation has revealed that weapons made from this factory were being smuggled by crossing the Indo-Bangladesh border via West Bengal.
According to sources, Kolkata STF was getting secret information about this hideout for a long time. Recently, STF also demolished one such factory in Mahudara of Dhanbad. Based on the clues found from there, this major action has been taken in Sadadih.
According to the police, the network of this gang extends to the inter -state and international level. Initial investigation has revealed that illegal weapons supply was transported to anti -social elements.
During the action, some suspects have been detained from the spot, who are under questioning. The illegal liquor seized along with weapons is also being investigated by the Excise Department.
Senior police officials say that other people associated with this gang are being searched. A special team has been formed to expose the entire network.
