San Francisco. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Monday that ‘India’ has become the fastest growing economy due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership and stability provided by the current government. Addressing Indian migrants in the US, the Union Finance Minister said, “When we say that India is a fast growing economy, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (World Bank) also accept the fact. They believe that India can act as an engine enhancing world trade due to its growth ability.”
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman further said that with the development of this capacity, we can change the trends being seen due to various uncertainties globally. In the current trend, both growth and trade are less, but in some places there is more inflation, due to which people are thinking that the recession is going to come in future.
He further said, “If India’s capacity is being recognized even in these current circumstances and its economic strength is being accepted, then people who have achieved high achievements in this field can benefit from the partnership of Corporation to Corporation, individually or commercially with India.”
The Finance Minister said that both countries benefit from the partnership between the United States and India.
Addressing Indian migrants in the US, he said, “Together, we will pursue global trade and development. I think it is a huge contribution that Indian migrants living here can give.”
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman appealed to Indian migrants to take more interest and partnership with India in their chosen areas.
On the steps to strengthen the Indian economy, Finance Minister Sitharaman said, “During the Kovid-19 epidemic, our fiscal deficit increased. But in 2021, we came with a clear indication that how we want to manage our fiscal deficit. We have set a target from year to year and we are committed to bringing the fiscal deficit below 4.5 percent by 2026.
He further said that the primary focus of the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to achieve the goal of ‘developed India’ by 2047.
This approach includes improvement in various fields affecting women, poor, youth and farmers.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is on a five -day American visit. On reaching San Francisco, he was welcomed by Indian Ambassador Vinay Mohan Quatra.
During her visit, Finance Minister will deliver the main speech at Stanford University and discuss with the CEO on investment and technological progress in San Francisco.
The visit will also include his participation in migrant programs, which will increase India’s global cultural presence.
In Washington DC, Finance Minister Sitharaman will participate in the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings and G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meetings.
She will hold bilateral talks with counterparts from the US, Britain, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia and other countries as well as top officials of international financial institutions.
After completing his American visit, the Finance Minister will visit Peru from 26 to 30 April.
