The number of road accidents across the country has increased significantly over the last several years. In such a situation, an important decision has been taken by the government for the safety of people and to reduce the number of deaths during road accidents. The government has ordered the car manufacturers to provide three point seat belts for all the passengers sitting in the car. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari had given information about this in a press conference.
It was told by Nitin Gadkari that seat belts will be mandatory for all the passengers sitting in the back seat of the car. In such a situation, now the seat belt rule also applies to the passengers sitting behind. Nitin Gadkari has also made the car makers mandatory to have three point seat belts for all the passengers sitting in the vehicle.
Let us tell you that till now there were three point seat belts for the two passengers sitting in the front and only for the two passengers sitting in the back. There were only two point seat belts for the passenger sitting in the middle. However, keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, it has been decided to increase the number of belts.
