A sensational incident in broad daylight in the Shivdaspura police station area of the capital Jaipur on Wednesday created an atmosphere of panic in the area. According to the information, some miscreants attacked the sarpanch of Akodia Gram Panchayat with sticks with sticks. In the attack, both the sarpanch’s legs and one hand are badly broken. The incident is reported on Wednesday afternoon, when the sarpanch of Akodia came out of some work. Then some miscreants already ambushed surrounded him and attacked him with sticks. The entire incident took place in a few minutes, but was so serious that the sarpanch had to be taken to the hospital immediately.
According to doctors, the sarpanch has fractured both legs and one hand and his condition remains critical. He is currently admitted to a private hospital in Jaipur, where he is undergoing treatment.

The police vehicle was present at a distance of a few meters at the time of the incident, but eyewitnesses say the police neither intervened on time nor tried to stop the attackers. This negligence has become a cause of anger among the local people. The villagers allege that if the police had taken action in time, the condition of the sarpanch would not have been so serious.

Angry villagers demonstrated outside the Shivdaspura police station after the incident and demanded action against the guilty policemen. The protesters alleged that the police and the miscreants may be in collusion, and demanded a fair investigation. Many villagers said that when the police protecting the common man remains a mute spectator, then whom should the public trust?

On receiving information about the incident, the high officials ordered an inquiry into the case. Police say the attackers have been identified and will be arrested soon.
