Additional Public Prosecutor No. 2 Anamika Sandhu said that a victim had lodged a report at Dhorimanna police station on 5 May 2020. For this, on 4 May 2020, the accused called the married woman alone in Nadi and crematorium ghats for worship and raped him at the tip of the knife.

After investigating the case, the police filed a charge sheet against the accused under sections 365, 384, 376 (1) and 323 of the Indian Penal Code. A charge sheet of about 200 pages was presented.
Sandu said that the matter came before the Additional District and Sessions Judge No. 2 in February 2024. He said that after this, statements of 10 witnesses were recorded in the court by the prosecution. Additionally, 27 documents were displayed. He said that after listening to all the parties in the case, Additional District and Sessions Judge Number Two Piyush Chaudhary on Wednesday committed an offense against the accused Ladhuram under Section 376 (1) of the Indian Penal Code. pleaded guilty. After this, he was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of fifty thousand rupees.
