New Delhi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a one-to-one fight against corruption and the corrupt. He has said that in the last five years, just as the state has been made riot-free by ending the mafia rule, now a campaign against corruption will start in the same way. Whoever is the corrupt, with zero tolerance the accumulated wealth of his 7 generations will be acquired and will be used for the benefit of the poor. Chief Minister Yogi was interacting with the public on Friday in a program organized in the campus of Vir Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur. While inaugurating/laying the foundation stone of 116 projects worth ₹258 crore for Jaunpur district, the Chief Minister also exposed the anti-corruption policies of the previous governments. He said that ‘corruption was in the ‘gene’ of the governments before 2017. Then the government used to make schemes to benefit its contractors and operatives. The ‘price’ of every ‘work’ was fixed in advance. This racket of government-sponsored corruption was hollowing out the system of the entire state like a mite, for which the entire state had to bear the brunt. But today, be it examinations or appointments, there is purity and transparency in everything. The benefit of the schemes of the government is being given to the eligible person without any discrimination. Before the public meeting, Mr. Giving information about inspecting the functioning of Umanath Singh Medical College and STP, the CM said that ‘a district with unlimited potential like Jaunpur was in the hope of development for decades, today it is getting everything that Jaunpur deserves.’ Referring to the famous perfume and Imarti of Jaunpur, CM Yogi said that ‘if a concrete action plan has been prepared to revive the traditional perfume business here, then GI tagging of Imarti is being done. The aroma and sweetness of Jaunpur’s perfume and imarti is now going global.
Everyone’s contribution is necessary in ‘Self-reliant India’
Benefiting the eligible people from various public welfare schemes of the government, Chief Minister Yogi tried to connect the people with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve of ‘Self-reliant India’. He said that ‘everyone has to maintain honesty and cleanliness in his field of work. Everyone’s cooperation is necessary in fulfilling the concept of self-reliant India. On the special occasion, CM also introduced ‘Matrubhumi Yojana’ and said that ‘now anyone can directly participate in the development of his village/city.’ While encouraging the village panchayats and urban bodies to be self-reliant, the CM said that the state government will also provide financial support to make self-reliant gram panchayats/urban bodies smart. In the program, the CM also released a book on the freedom struggle and role of Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh.
