Villagers of Dhani village of Dhundhawala of Nagaur district submitted a memorandum to District Collector Arun Kumar Purohit on Monday for embezzlement and financial irregularities in Village Service Cooperative Mandeli. Villagers alleged that the committee administrators are working arbitrarily under political pressure and misusing the deposit amount of loan account holders.
According to the villagers, the manager took his fingerprint twice and took out money from his accounts. Apart from this, the amount deposited in the accounts is also being withdrawn without permission.
The villagers also opposed the loan recovery by an assistant manager, which was not appointed to the committee. He says that the said Assistant Manager was not selected as per rules and is being embezzled by him. The villagers demanded that the identity card of the unknown assistant manager should be canceled with immediate effect and the work should be done from the regular manager itself.
Villagers also say that although most of the borrowers have paid their loan amount, they are still being unnecessarily harassed. He demanded a fair investigation into corruption in the cooperative society and strict action against the culprits.
According to sources, the name of the nephew of a former BJP MLA has also come up in this case, which is being said that he is involved in the embezzlement by misusing the post of Administrator. In view of the increasing dispute in this case, the district administration has ordered an inquiry.
