Karauli. A history-sheeter who was sleeping outside his house was shot dead in Ranoli village of Balaghat police station area of Gangapur district, adjacent to Kaioli. The murder of a history-sheeter, which took place at midnight on Friday, created a sensation in the area. The body of the deceased has been kept in the mortuary of Karauli Hospital. There, preparations are being made to get the post-mortem done on his body. Police have formed teams and are searching for the accused. However, no trace of him has been found. No clue has been found as to the reasons for the murder.
Balaghat police station officer Santosh Sharma said that Usman alias Ashu (22) was a resident of Ranoli. He was a history sheeter of Balghat police station. He was formerly a member of the notorious Lady Don Rekha gang. Usman alias Ashu was sleeping on a cot in the courtyard of the neighbour’s house in front of his house on Friday night. At around 2 o’clock in the night, unknown miscreants shot him in the chest. Neighbors came out after hearing the sound of gunshot.
Doctors declared him dead in the hospital
When he saw Usman alias Ashu lying bleeding on the cot, he was stunned. He informed this to his family members. Later the family took the injured Usman to Karauli Hospital. There the doctors declared him dead. After this, Balaghat police station was informed about the incident. On receiving information about the murder of the history-sheeter, Deputy Superintendent of Police Murari Lal Meena and Balaghat police station in-charge immediately reached the spot.
Police force deployed for peace and security in the village
He took complete information about the incident from the villagers. After that Police Officer Santosh reached Karauli. There he examined the dead body. Post mortem of Ashu’s body will be done in Karauli District Hospital. The family members have expressed apprehension that some people of the village might shoot Ashu over a fight that took place a day or two ago. Police is investigating the case from all angles. Police force has been deployed for peace and security in the village.
