New Delhi. Aircraft maker Airbus India on Monday said that it is in talks with the Tata group to supply the new aircraft One 350 to Air India.
Airbus India President Remy Maillard told an event here that talks are being held with all airlines in this regard.
On Air India, he said that his company is in talks with other aviation companies of the Tata group such as Vistara and AirAsia India.
Last month, Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran had said that the Tata group is committed to make Air India a world-class airline. He also talked about upgrading the fleet of aircraft.
In January last, the government handed over the reins of Air India to the Tata group.
Airbus India says that India will be the most emerging aviation market among G20 countries. Wide body aircraft are in constant demand.
India is projected to grow at 6.2 per cent in international air traffic as against the global average of 3.9 per cent.
On Monday, Airbus India displayed the A350 aircraft. More than 480 passengers can board this plane. This aircraft can travel up to 18,000 non-stop.
Airbus currently has 915 orders from 50 customers.
