In which patients will be treated with this therapy according to their needs. Let us tell you that a PG course was recently started in Varanasi’s Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth for the study of treatment of mental diseases with music and now experiments have also started in hospitals regarding this.
According to the information, there are 259 patients being treated in the mental hospital located in Pandeypur, Varanasi. Different activities are conducted in the hospital for the treatment of mentally ill patients. These include sports to meditation. Now music therapy has also been included in these.
Effective in relieving stress
For music therapy, sound systems have been installed in the hospital from OPD to wards and other places. Mental hospital director Dr. AK Rai said that diseases like stress and depression can be cured through music therapy. It will be used in the hospital as supportive therapy on mental patients. If the results are good, then it will be considered further.
These diseases are treatable
Dr. Durgesh, Professor of Psychology Department of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth, said that it is possible to treat many incurable diseases through music therapy. It has many techniques and methods. Problems like mental disorders and stress can also be cured through it.
