Meanwhile, the Election Commission has released the figures of voting conducted in the fourth phase in Jharkhand. Data shows that women in Jharkhand are more conscious about their right to vote than men. This fact has come to light from the final figures of the four seats on which voting took place in Jharkhand in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections. These figures were released by the state’s Chief Electoral Officer on Saturday. Ravi Kumar issued this in a press conference.
Voting percentage in Singhbhum?
He said that a total of 10 lakh 3 thousand 482 votes were cast in Singhbhum, which is 69.32 percent of the total voters. The number of women in this is 5 lakh 14 thousand 639. This is 69.93 percent of total women voters. In comparison, 4 lakh 88 thousand 836 men cast their votes and their percentage was 68.69 percent. Only in Seraikela, one of the six assembly constituencies of this parliamentary constituency, the voting percentage of men has been higher than that of women.
70.50% women vote in Khunti
Similarly, a total of 9 lakh 27 thousand 422 votes were cast in Khunti Lok Sabha seat, which is 69.93 percent of the total voters. In this, the number of women was 4 lakh 76 thousand 292 and their percentage was 70.50. The number of men who voted was 4 lakh 51 thousand 127 and their percentage was 69.35. In only one assembly constituency, Tamar, out of six in this parliamentary constituency, the voting percentage of men has been higher than that of women.
Condition of Lohardaga Lok Sabha seat
A total of 9 lakh 57 thousand 690 votes were cast in Lohardaga, which is 66.45 percent of the total voters. The number of women voters was 4 lakh 99 thousand 182 and their percentage was 68.63. The number of male voters was 4 lakh 58 thousand 507. His score was 64.22. A total of 13 lakh 74 thousand 358 votes were cast in Palamu, which is 61.27 percent of the total voters. The percentage of women in this was 64.51. A total of 6 lakh 96 thousand 787 women exercised their franchise. The number of men who voted was 6 lakh 77 thousand 570. This number in percentage is 64.10. Only in Daltonganj, one of the six assembly constituencies of this parliamentary constituency, has the voting percentage of men been higher than that of women.
Voting on these seats in the fifth phase
Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar has said that the departure of polling personnel has started for the fifth phase of voting. In the fifth phase, voting is to be held in Chatra, Hazaribagh and Koderma on May 20. Every possible effort has been made by the Commission to ensure that maximum number of people vote in all these areas. (IANS)
