Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Sunday inaugurated the state -of -the -art jail complex built at a cost of Rs 95 crore in Fideeri village of Rewari district. Spread over 50 acres, this prison has the ability to keep 1,000 prisoners, which will remove the shortage of old small jails of 65 prisoners in Rewari.
CM Saini unveiled the development projects worth Rs 288.30 crore for Rewari district, including the Synthetic Track and the foundation stone of the bus stand at the inauguration ceremony held at Rao Tularam Stadium. The program was chaired by Jail Minister Arvind Sharma.
The Chief Minister said that this jail will not only be the center of punishment but will also become a medium of improvement and rehabilitation of prisoners. He also mentioned the state -of -the -art Jail Training Academy established in Karnal for jail reform and training in Haryana. Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh, Rewari MLA Laxman Singh Yadav and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
