India Women-A vs Australia Women-A Team: The Australian Women’s-A team defeated the Indian Women’s-A team by 7 wickets in the third and final T20 match. With this, the Australian Women’s-A team has clean swept the series 3-0 and the Indian team has not been able to win a single match. Australia won the first match by 5 runs and the second match by 8 wickets. In the third T20 match, the Indian team gave Australia a target of 121 runs to win, which the Australian team easily chased thanks to Tahlia McGrath’s strong innings.
Tahlia McGrath hits half century
Tahlia McGrath batted brilliantly for Australia. She played an unbeaten innings of 51 runs in 22 balls with eight fours and two sixes. Because of her, the Australian Women’s-A team won by scoring 121 runs for three wickets in just 13.5 overs. Tahlia McGrath led her team to victory by hitting three consecutive fours off the balls of fast bowler Shabnam Shakeel. Tahlia also added 48 runs for the third wicket with Charlie Knott (19). Opener Wilson (39 runs, 26 balls, five fours, one six) also played a useful innings.
Indian batsmen performed poorly
For the Indian Women-A team, only Kiran Navgire and captain Meenu Mani tried to stay on the wicket for some time, but the rest of the batsmen have failed to perform well. Kiran Navgire (38 runs) and Meenu Mani contributed 22 runs. India lost five wickets for 47 runs, from which the team failed to recover. Kiran and Meenu added 57 runs for the sixth wicket and took the team’s score beyond 100 runs. For Australia, Nicola Hancock, Grace Parsons and Maitlan Brown took two wickets each. India ‘A’ will play a three-match ODI series against the host team before the only ‘unofficial Test’ from August 22.
