New Delhi. In reply to India’s 205 runs, Australia had scored 87 runs for the loss of one wicket at one time. That too in just 8.5 overs. Travis Head was at the crease with 42 runs and Mitchell Marsh with 37 runs. The run rate was around 10 and Australia had to score runs at the same pace. Overall, this was the time when the Indian captain was getting worried. It seemed that even a score of 205 might fall short. At this critical time, Axar Patel came forward. He took such a great catch of Mitchell Marsh that Indians were filled with joy. Former cricketer Ishant Sharma, who was doing commentary, even called this catch the turning point of the match.
Australia had a bad start while chasing the target of 206 runs and opener David Warner returned to the pavilion after scoring just 6 runs. The initial success after scoring a big score filled the Indian cricket team and its fans with joy. But after this, the pair of opener Travis Head and captain Mitchell Marsh became solid. Both of them made a partnership of 81 runs in 47 balls. The momentum of the game was starting to shift. Then Kuldeep Yadav gave India the wicket which India desperately needed.
Pretty sure Axar Patel just borrowed Superman’s cape for that catch. #AxarPatel #AUSvIND #AUSvIND #T20WorldCup #IndianArmy pic.twitter.com/4Qx4QvQUmv
