New Delhi. The Indian cricket team had to face a very embarrassing defeat in the first match of the current two-match Test series against South Africa. Within three days, the host team registered a huge victory by an innings and 32 runs against India and took an unassailable lead of 1-0. The second test will be played from January 3. Sunil Gavaskar has suggested making 2 changes in the Indian team before the second test.
While talking on Star Sports, Gavaskar said, “There are not many changes in my playing eleven. But if Ravindra Jadeja is fit once, he should come back in place of Ravichandran Ashwin. I think Ashwin was used in place of Jadeja in the first match. According to me, another change can happen in the form of the famous Krishna. Mukesh Kumar can be included in his place.”

Irfan Pathan was also a part of this panel. He said, “Avesh Khan or Mukesh Kumar should get a chance in place of Prasidh Krishna in the second test. Ravindra Jadeja can be given a chance in place of Ravichandran Ashwin. Apart from this, no changes are visible in Team India. But if Rohit Sharma wants to play with the same team again, then I would say that he should make at least one change. They should give a chance to Mukesh or Avesh.
‘Australians used to say that Brian Lara was better than Sachin Tendulkar, I used to say nonsense’! statement of former captain
According to Gavaskar, Team India’s playing XI in the second test should be like this: Rohit Sharma (captain), Yashasvi Jasaywal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mukesh Kumar, Mohammed Siraj.
