According to news agency PTI, the BCCI, while giving information about this series in the Apex Council meeting held on March 2, decided on the selection of venues for it.
According to the information available on the BCCI website, the series will start from June 9 and the fifth and last match will be played on June 19. This series, to be held before the ICC T20 World Cup, will be important for both the teams. This will be an opportunity for both the teams to test their preparations ahead of the World Cup to be held in Australia in October-November.
India, led by Rohit Sharma, have grabbed the top spot in the ICC rankings with three consecutive T20I series clean sweeps against New Zealand, West Indies and Sri Lanka. After the defeat at the hands of Pakistan and New Zealand in the T20 World Cup last year, the Indian team has won 12 matches so far.
It is worth noting that Team India, which went to South Africa earlier this year, got a clean sweep in the three-match ODI series, while it lost the series 1-2 in the Test.
