India vs Sri Lanka ODI Series: The last match of the T20 series between India and Sri Lanka is yet to be played. However, by winning the first two matches, India has already won the series under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. Meanwhile, preparations for the ODI series have also started. The Indian team selected for the one-day series has reached Sri Lanka. The special thing is that after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 title, the pair of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be seen on the field once again. Both these players have announced their retirement from T20 International.

India vs Sri Lanka ODI series first match on 2 August

A three-match ODI series will be played between India and Sri Lanka. Its first match will be played on August 2. For this, many big players including captain Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli have reached Colombo. The special thing about the series is that after the ODI World Cup 2023, Kohli and Rohit will take the field for the first ODI match. Rohit and Kohli reached Sri Lanka’s IPC Ratnadeepa Hotel on Sunday night. The ODI team will participate in the net session on Monday i.e. today. The players who have been selected for both ODI and T20 series will join together in Pallekele on July 30 after playing the last match.

This series is important for India in terms of Champions Trophy

The ODI series will start on August 2 in Colombo. After this, all three matches will be played at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. The second ODI will be played on August 4 and the last match of the series will be played on August 7. This series is going to be very important in view of the Champions Trophy to be held next year. After these three matches, the Indian team will play three more ODI matches before the Champions Trophy 2025.
