Deepak bowled the third over of West Indies’ innings, in which Shai Hope hit fours off the first two balls and then was beaten off the third ball. On the fourth ball, Chahar got Shai Hope caught by wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan. After this, there was no run on the fifth ball of the second over of Deepak Chahar, but while throwing the next ball, Deepak Chahar’s leg muscles got strain and he threw the ball on the ground and sat on the ground. After this the physio was called immediately, but Chahar’s pain did not subside and the physio advised him to leave the field, after which Venkatesh Iyer bowled the last ball of the over.
Deepak Chahar has been injured for the second time in this series. He seems to be in rhythm and is contributing to the batting as well as bowling superbly. In such a situation, his injury can increase India’s concern.
