New Delhi. The 3-match ODI series between India and West Indies (Ind Vs WI) is going to start from 22 July. The Indian team has also reached West Indies for this series. Earlier India had toured England. Jasprit Bumrah was captained in the only Test match for this tour and Rohit Sharma in T20 and ODI matches. But in the ODI series for the West Indies tour, senior batsman Shikhar Dhawan has to captain the team. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested for this series. In such a situation, winning the West Indies series with young players is going to be no less than a challenge for Shikhar Dhawan.
What could be the opening pair?
In the absence of many experienced players in this tour, the responsibility of winning the series will be on the shoulders of young players. In such a situation, Team India will need to choose the right way of bowling in batting. It will be the responsibility of the selectors to choose the right batting order. It is certain that captain Shikhar Dhawan will be seen opening. Rohit Sharma is not in this tour, so Shubham Gill can be seen opening the innings with Shikhar Dhawan. In IPL 2022 too, Shubhanam Gill performed brilliantly. If he gets a chance to open an innings with West Indies, he would like to give his best as an opener batsman.

Who will get the responsibility of middle order?
Captain Shikhar Dhawan has the option of young players like Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Shreyas Iyer as a middle-order batsman for the West Indies tour. It is being speculated that if Shikhar Dhawan does not give Ishaan a chance as an opener, then Ishaan can be dropped at number three. After this Suryakumar Yadav can be seen batting. Shreyas Iyer can be seen playing after Ishaan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav. Apart from all this, Deepak Hooda will also be seen playing in the team. It is too early to say about his batting order as of now.
