This is Team India’s sixth consecutive T20 series win on home ground. This is India’s 100th win in T20.
The last time the Indian team lost against Australia at home was in February 2019. After that the series against South Africa was tied at 1-1. Team India then defeated Bangladesh 2-1, West Indies 2-1, Sri Lanka 2-0, England 3-2 and New Zealand 3-0.
Full time captain Rohit scored a hat-trick
Rohit Sharma has taken a hat-trick of wins in the series after becoming the full-time captain. Earlier, Team India won the T20 against New Zealand and ODI series against West Indies under his captaincy. In the match, West Indies won the toss and decided to bowl first. India scored 186 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Windies team could only manage 178 runs for three wickets in 20 overs.

Rovman Powell could have been as amazing as Carlos Brathwaite
