New Delhi. Amid tensions with China, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has directly warned China. Jaishankar clearly said in a conversation with a TV channel on Saturday that China will not be allowed to make unilateral changes on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) under any circumstances. Regarding the dispute over the LAC in the eastern region of Ladakh, Jaishankar said that China violated the agreements made in 1993 and 1996. His intention was to change the LAC unilaterally by deploying a large number of troops, but our brave soldiers gave martyrdom to China’s intentions.
Jaishankar said that we were in a difficult phase of Corona at that time, but were able to compete with them on the LAC with organizational and planned efforts. Sometimes I feel that it was not properly recognized by the people, analysts and even in the politics of our country. Regarding the India-China dispute, he said that usually there is no deployment at the places of patrol. The army is placed in interior areas near the border, but few people have general ideas about the international border.
Jaishankar said that what happened in Ladakh was the result of this. China deployed in forward areas along the LAC. This was a new thing and we also deployed soldiers in the forward areas. The matter was dangerous and our apprehensions in Galwan were proved correct. He said that the matter has been resolved on many points of conflict with China. His and our army have returned from many places. The situation before April is no longer the case. We have come up with concrete solutions. He said that this is an act of patience and we will not allow China to take any unilateral step.
