New Delhi. India has made two changes in its playing eleven for the second ODI against Sri Lanka. India has dropped KL Rahul and Arshdeep Singh, who played the second ODI, from the playing eleven of the third match. Rishabh Pant and Riyan Parag have been given a chance in place of these two. With this, Riyan Parag has got a chance to start his ODI cricket career.
The first match of the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka was tied. After this, in the second match, the host team defeated India by 32 runs. In this way, before the third ODI, Sri Lanka’s team is leading the series 1-0. India will have to win the third match at any cost to level the series. If India loses the third ODI, it will lose the series as well.
22-year-old Riyan Parag has played 6 T20 matches for India. He bats in the middle order and also bowls spin. Riyan has got a place in the playing eleven due to his all-round ability. Especially in the pitches of Sri Lanka where matches are being played, spinners are effective. Riyan Parag was handed the debut cap by Virat Kohli. Riyan is the only cricketer from Assam in the Indian team.
