Bhuvi did a bad job
When both the teams faced each other for the first time in a group match, Bhuvneshwar Kumar spoiled the start of Pakistan by dismissing both the openers for a total of three runs. Pakistan somehow managed to put 162 runs on the board before being all out in front of India’s tight bowling. It was a normal score which was made even smaller by Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan making a partnership of 86 runs for the first wicket. India easily won the match by eight wickets.
Openers made it one sided
Once again both the teams came face to face in the Super-4 stage. Pakistani batsmen performed better this time and set a target of 238 runs for India. This target was not easy against good bowling, but in the next few hours, Pakistani fans saw the highest opening partnership from India against their team, which made the match one-sided. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma added 210 runs for the first wicket as India defeated Pakistan for the second time in four days.
