New Delhi. The Pakistan Cricket Board often makes controversial statements about the BCCI. Apart from this, former players of Pakistan are also seen criticizing India many times. One such player is Javed Miandad, the former captain and coach of the Pakistan cricket team. He has lashed out at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Not only this, Javed Miandad claimed that India has always been afraid of Pakistan. In fact, the BCCI has made it clear that Indian cricketers will not go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023 and in such a situation, the Asia Cup should be shifted to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The BCCI wants Pakistan to host the Asia Cup 2023, but the venue should be neutral. So that the boards of both the countries can be of their mind.
Let us tell you that on this the PCB has threatened that if this happens then the Pakistan cricket team will not go to India for the 2023 World Cup. India is to host the ICC World Cup 2023. Pakistan’s sports journalist Farid Khan, quoting Javed Miandad from his official Twitter handle, wrote, ‘Why is India afraid to play Pakistan? They know that if India loses to Pakistan, Narendra Modi will disappear, his people will not forgive him.
Significantly, former Pakistan coach Javed Miandad did not stop at this and further said, ‘India ran away from Sharjah when we started winning there. He didn’t even want to play. The people there used to set fire to the houses of their players when they lost to us. His players including his Gavaskar had to bear the heavy loss of defeat. Javed Miandad said, ‘India has an old habit of running away from Pakistan. This is nothing new. I know him since my playing days. Where will the Asia Cup 2023 be held and whether the Pakistan team withdraws from the 2023 ICC World Cup, the answers to all these questions will be available only in the coming times.
