After four years and two months, an international cricket match will be organized on Saturday at the Dharamsala Stadium in Himachal Pradesh. Two matches of the three-match series between India and Sri Lanka are to be held in Dharamsala on February 26 and 27. The first match was played in Lucknow on 24 February, which India won. The last time an ODI was played between India and Sri Lanka on 10 December 2017 at the Dharamsala Stadium, which was won by Sri Lanka. On Friday, the teams of India and Sri Lanka reached Dharamsala. Sri Lanka reached Gagal airport at 12:30 and India team at 4:30 pm.
The 18th international match will be played on Saturday at the Dharamsala Cricket Stadium. After the start of the Ranji match at the HPCA Stadium in 2003, almost ten years later, he got the opportunity to host an international match in 2013. Since getting the first international match in 2013, 17 matches have been played in Dharamsala so far. After two T20 matches between India and Sri Lanka, this figure will be 19.
The 17 international matches received so far include 12 T20s, four ODIs and one Test match. The India team has played four ODIs, three T20 matches and one Test match at the Dharamsala Stadium. In this, two T20 matches were washed out due to rain. Apart from this, nine T20 matches have been played between other countries in Dharamsala. HPCA Secretary Sumit Kumar said that so far 17 international matches including T20, ODI and Test matches have been played at Dharamsala Stadium. Nine matches of IPL have also been held here from 2010 to 2013.
Match will start at 7 pm
The second match of the T20I series between India and Sri Lanka will start at 7 pm on Saturday. After four years, the international cricket match being held in Dharamsala has once again been engulfed in the shadow of rain. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain till 11 pm on Sunday. According to HPCA officials, 95 percent tickets for Saturday’s match were sold till Friday evening. If India wins Saturday’s match too, then the series will be named after him. The bouncy pitch of Dharamsala can be beneficial for the batsmen. Toss and dew will be of more importance in the match.

Dharamsala will host the 18th international match

During the two matches of the T20I series to be held in Dharamsala on February 26 and 27, spectators will not be able to carry a water bottle with them in the stadium. The HPCA management has issued an advisory to the spectators not to bring certain items with them in the match. During this time, bottles, matches, metal cans, musical instruments, flammable materials, headphones, chargers and electrical appliances will not be taken with the spectators.
Harmful illegal and dangerous items, firecrackers, weapons and helmets will also be banned in the stadium. SP Kangra Dr. Khushal Sharma has appealed to the spectators who come to watch the match not to bring any kind of item with them, which are banned from taking them to the stadium. Police will keep an eye on Tappe. There will be strictness on those who create riots.
Entry will be available only till 6.30 pm
The India-Sri Lanka match will start at 7 pm in the stadium. During this, the entrance gates will be open for the visitors only till 6.30 pm. Meanwhile, spectators will have to enter the stadium.
Parking will be arranged like this
For small vehicles coming from Sakoh side, parking arrangement has been made at Police Ground Dharamshala. Large vehicles will be parked near the Zoravar Stadium after deboarding the passengers near the War Memorial. On the other hand, parking space has been marked in the ground adjacent to the DIG office for two wheelers.
Trains coming from the side of Kotabali Bazar
Mini Secretariat parking has been marked in front of Hanuman Mandir for vehicles coming from Bhagsunag and Kotwali Bazar. During this, two wheelers and small vehicles which will come in the ground adjoining the police ground and DIG office. A road has been earmarked for them from KCC Bank to the cricket stadium.
Vehicles coming from Palampur
Parking space has been earmarked for heavy vehicles coming from Palampur side at Zoravar Stadium. Visitors coming from here will be dropped near the War Memorial by shuttle bus service. Apart from this a shuttle bus service will be available near Sheela Chowk. Dadi Ground has been identified for parking of small vehicles coming from Palampur.
Nearby vehicles will be parked in Sai Parking
Vehicles having sai parking to which passes have been allotted by HPCA. They will not follow the route of KCC Bank and Hanuman Mandir and will take their vehicle only on the designated route. At the same time, vehicles which do not have a sticker with VVIP pass will not be allowed to enter through this route. These vehicles will be parked in the parking lot of Police Ground and Mini Secretariat only.
