BJP has suspended Nupur Sharma from the primary membership of the party. Former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma recently made a controversial statement in a live TV debate about Prophet Mohammad, which was heavily opposed. Other countries also condemned this statement. During the ‘Zee News conference’, a question related to the action taken against Nupur Sharma was asked to Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
The BJP leader was asked that action was taken against Nupur Sharma when it was felt that there was different type of pressure, people are criticizing from different countries also. To this Naqvi said, “This country does not run under the pressure of fanatics, Al Qaeda and Pakistan. We have our own commitments and we are committed to our commitments. In India, decisions are not taken under anyone’s pressure.” On this, Vijay Kumar Jha, editor of AnyTV.com, questioned Naqvi, “Why this commitment was not shown earlier when your leaders and MLAs talked about bigger things than this.”
To this, the Union Minister replied and said, “More people do bigger things than this. What to do and hang at the crossroads? He further said, “No one has justified such an incident nor has the government justified it. Neither you guys (media) justified. This is our country.”
Vijay Kumar Jha then asked Naqvi, “You have enumerated the schemes and told that if minorities were made partners, then how many participants were made in politics because on 7th, if you leave the Rajya Sabha, then Parliament will become Muslim-free.” To this question, the Union Minister smiled and said, “How can you say that Rukhsati will be there.” At the same time, he was asked, “What is the future plan? Is Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi going to occupy a big constitutional post?”
Referring to his long political journey with the party, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, “Every journey should be with simplicity, with success, with determination, with ease….This is what we should be doing and this is what we do.” Huh.” At the same time, Vijay Kumar Jha asked what did the BJP do to increase the participation of Muslims in politics? Naqvi said on this, “This government does not see participation of Muslims, participation of Hindus, it sees participation of Indians.”
