A BJP minister from Karnataka has claimed that one day all Muslims and Christians will be part of the Sangh. Congress has strongly protested this statement of Minister KS Eshwarappa. After this, there was retaliation from both the sides.
Karnataka minister and senior BJP leader KS Eshwarappa on Thursday claimed that all Muslims and Christians of the country would someday associate themselves with the RSS. Rural Development Minister Eshwarappa made this statement during a discussion in the assembly when president Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri used the word “our RSS” for the Sangh. He said that the day would come when opposition MLAs would also say the same, to which Congress MLAs objected.
It is being told that it all started when former Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah spoke about his relationship with BJP leaders and ministers. Siddaramaiah said- “Personal relations are important, followed by party differences like BJP, RSS, Congress and others.”
Commenting on this statement of Siddaramaiah, the Speaker asked why are you worried about our RSS? Congress leaders objected to this statement of the Speaker. Congress MLAs said that sitting on the seat and saying our RSS is not right.
Responding to the Congress MLA’s retaliation, Vidhan Sabha Kageri said- “What else, if we don’t have RSS? Yes….This is our RSS. RSS is ours.
Congress MLAs retaliated fiercely on this statement of the Speaker. Congress MLAs said that that day will never come. Due to all these things, there was a lot of Tu-Main-Main among the MLAs of BJP and Congress. BJP MLAs kept saying that the acceptance of RSS would increase and it would be universal, while Congress leaders kept saying that it would not happen.
Amidst these statements, Minister Eshwarappa said that all the Muslims and Christians of the country, if not today or someday in future, will belong to the RSS. It does not have any message. Some Congress MLAs reacted sharply to this statement of Eshwarappa and strongly opposed his statement. However, later the matter was somehow calmed down and the proceedings inside the house could start properly.
