On June 18, the 100th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi will be celebrated. It has been decided to name a road in Gandhinagar after him on the occasion. Significantly, 80 meters road from Raisan Petrol Pump in Gandhinagar has been renamed and it has been decided to keep it as Pujya Hira Marg.
In this regard, Gandhinagar Mayor Hitesh Makwana said, “When Hiraba is entering its 100th year, we have decided to name the 80 meter road in Raisen area as Pujya Hira Marg. This will enable future generations to take inspiration from his life.”
It is worth mentioning that Hiraben Modi lives with his youngest son Pankaj Modi in Raisan village on the outskirts of Gandhinagar city. On the occasion of his birthday, a big festival is also being prepared in Vadnagar. PM Modi will also visit Gujarat for a two-day visit on June 17 and 18. He will celebrate his mother’s 100th birthday with her. Earlier, Modi last met his mother in March.
According to one of Hiraben’s son Prahlad Modi, “Hiraba is moving towards centenary. We have organized a Nav Chandi Yagya and Sundar Kand recitation at Hatkeshwar temple in Vadnagar.” He said that a Sangeet Sandhya has also been organized in the temple on this occasion.
