The heat wave that has been going on since June 3 in northwestern and central India, which is battling scorching heat, is now over. The monsoon has moved ahead riding on moist winds and clouds. Along with this, the drizzling showers have started giving relief to the people. The Indian Meteorological Department said that the weather was kind, proving their estimate accurate and on June 16, there was no heat wave anywhere in the country. The pre-monsoon movement has intensified over Northwest India as well.
Meteorological Department official RK Jenamani said that five weather systems built in all the areas have given a big relief on Thursday. He said that no part of India was feeling hot and there was no heat wave. He said that in view of this, it is believed that heat wave conditions persisted over parts of Northwest and Central India from June 3 and lashed parts of East India from June 10, which ended on June 15. There is no possibility of scorching heat for the next five days.
At the same time, there is a strong possibility of thunderstorms between June 18 and 20 in many areas of Rajasthan due to the interaction of monsoon winds with a new Western Disturbance. He said that in the last week of June, conditions are favorable for the monsoon to become active and move forward. The Cyclonic Circulation lies over South-West Rajasthan. A total of five weather systems remain.
Due to which, during the last 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains have occurred over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Light to moderate rain accompanied by heavy rain occurred at a few places over the southern states.
Light to moderate rain occurred over Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, South Gujarat and South-West Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, light rain occurred in some parts of Delhi, Haryana and East Rajasthan.
