The country’s fastest train Vande Bharat Train has been officially revealed that two new sets of 16-coach semi-high speed Vande Bharat Express train will be brought on the track for testing in August. That is, in August this year, the Vande Bharat train will be operational. According to the official statement, the Vande Bharat train can be built at a cost of about Rs 115 crore.
Giving information, the Railways said that a target has been set to manufacture 75 Vande Bharat trains by August 2023. Officials said that two such trains are already running between Delhi and Katra and Delhi and Varanasi, the next set will include 75 advanced high speed trains of these trains in terms of safety and passenger amenities.
110 to 120 crores spent on one train
According to the official statement, the cost of construction of the 16-coach Vande Bharat train will be around Rs 110 crore to 120 crore. That is, it can be said that an average of Rs 115 crore will be spent. Integral Coach Factory (ICF) GM AK Aggarwal said that as the construction work of trains is completed, the cost will come down and the expenditure will also come down. Let us inform that earlier ICF had started two trains at a cost of Rs 106 crore.

Special care will be taken for security in the new Vande Bharat train. Uses Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) system to prevent cases of as soon as crossing the train signal (SPAD) in case of danger. An additional centralized monitoring coach will also be provided in the train, from which all the electrical components and climate control will be monitored.
Compared to the older versions, the new trains have been upgraded with several safety features, including fire detection alarms in coaches, fire detection systems in rooms and toilets, disaster lights, emergency lights. Safety features also include four emergency windows per coach. Apart from this, emergency push button and talk-back system have been given, through which the loco pilot can be talked to.

In this, the seats have been redesigned to sit like an aircraft. Agarwal said that the new trains will provide better ride comfort to the passengers. It has developed an improved bogie and the final trains will be 99 per cent ‘desi’, with only minor components from outside India. They will have automatic doors, sensor operated doors.
Plan to manufacture 10 trains every month
ICF is planning to manufacture around 10 trains per month and eventually, RCF-Kapurthala and Modern Coach Factory in Rae Bareli will also start manufacturing these coaches to meet the target of 400 Vande Bharat trains in the next three years.
