The JDU leader took a jibe at the Centre’s “Agneepath scheme” for recruitment in the army that if applications are coming in, it is not a success. The reason for this is that the youth have no choice.
He said, “People are troubled to work on daily wages, there are no jobs in factories. There, somehow they are trying to juggle that they can get some work. If someone is applying in the name of a job for four years, don’t consider it a success.
JDU said, “In 3500 Airforce vacancies, only 875 people will remain in the job after 4 years. How frightening are these figures. If applications are coming for jobs, then on the basis of that you said that the youth have accepted this scheme. In fact, they don’t have a choice.”
Rajiv Ranjan said that 1.5 lakh children are waiting for the written. You have also deprived them of the opportunities which were the traditional methods of appointments and it has become a habit to define some desired things in your own way in front of the political parties about the Kargil Review Committee.
He said, “From intelligence failure to various shortcomings, all of them were included in this review, but unemployment is the biggest question of the country. UP-Bihar, where there was maximum uproar over the scheme, is because for years, the expectations for those people were attached to the army.
It is worth noting that in the past, there was a protest against the Agneepath scheme across the country. Students protested against this scheme in many states including Bihar, Delhi, MP, Rajasthan and Haryana. Many violent incidents were also witnessed during this period. However, keeping in view the attitude of the students, the central government has increased the age limit of the candidates from 21 to 23 in the Agneepath scheme. Please note that there was no recruitment during the last two years. In such a situation, the government decided to increase the age limit.
