In fact, before the violence, women had come to the market to shop with their children. Then the period of violence started there. She got trapped in a house due to arson. Flames were visible all around the house. The women started crying seeing themselves trapped. Then their voice was heard by Natresh Sharma posted at Karauli police post and saved both of their lives.
Constable Natresh Sharma said that local shops were set on fire after stone-pelting at the bike rally. Due to which there was an atmosphere of chaos. Flames were visible everywhere. On this occasion, I was busy in controlling the fire at Futa Kot at around 6.30 pm. I saw there a house which was engulfed in flames, from where two women and a child were crying.
The policeman said that the women were shouting loudly that someone save my child. I immediately reached there and wrapped the child in a cloth and told the women that as soon as I walk outside with the child in my lap, you too should run back and forth. Natresh Sharma said that I ran fast through the strong flames, the women also ran behind and the lives of all three were saved.
