There is a lot of anger among the Muslim community after Nupur Sharma made objectionable remarks on Prophet Mohammad. After Friday prayers, people of the Muslim community protested against Nupur Sharma’s statement in many states of the country. Protests were seen from Delhi to Ranchi, Prayagraj, Mumbai, Bengaluru, while incidents of violence have also come to the fore in many places. During this, there have also been reports of stone pelting in Prayagraj and arson in Ranchi. During a debate on the same issue, two Muslim scholars clashed with each other, after which the anchor expelled one of the scholars from the debate.
During the debate on India TV, a Muslim scholar said that our Prime Minister has made good relations with Muslim countries. He said that the best awards of seven Muslim countries have been given to him. Firoz Ahmed Bakht said, “These are our children who are roaming in Kanpur today with stones in their hands, in Jammu and Kashmir stones are given in their hands by paying 500 rupees, retail…avoid them. All this is not in Muslim culture but I don’t know why they are doing this.
In response to the news anchor’s query regarding mercy, Syed Haji Hasan Rizvi said, “Firoz Sahab has no knowledge of Islam and he was doing the same work that Nupur Sharma did. They were also flouting the glory of the Prophet and you did not try to stop them. Interrupting Hasan Rizvi, who was furious over the story of kindness, the anchor asked what was wrong with Firoz Ahmed. But Hasan Rizvi kept on demanding an apology from Firoz Ahmed.
Hasan Rizvi repeatedly demanded an apology from Firoz Ahmed, to which the anchor interrupted and said, “I will not let you incite riots. You have to tell what he said wrong. Tell me what is said about mercy in Islam. After this, the anchor asked Haji Hasan Rizvi to leave the debate and in anger he left the debate and walked out.
