Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was also produced before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday. Where now the second round of interrogation has started. After lunch break, Rahul reached the ED office.
On Monday, Rahul Gandhi was questioned by the ED for about 8 and a half hours. Congress leaders and workers are opposing the production of Rahul. All Congress chief ministers are in Delhi and taking part in the protest. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the country will never forgive you.
Ashok Gehlot Talking to news agency ANI, he said, “No one can imagine the pressure of the government on Delhi Police. We can understand Section 144, but you cannot stop us from coming to Congress office. The situation in the country is very serious. People are taking to the streets on Ram Navami and Friday prayers.”
Ashok Gehlot while giving advice to PM Modi also said, “I would like to tell Modi ji that God has given you a chance to become the PM of the country. Do not treat the people of the country like this with CBI, Income Tax or ED, otherwise the country will never forgive you. It is our duty to respect the post of Prime Minister and I would like to say this with respect to the PM. The law is the same for everyone, but it is wrong to question anyone till 12 o’clock in the night.”
At the same time, Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said on PM’s announcement of giving 10 lakh government jobs in the next 18 months, “It is called ‘Billy Haj went by eating 900 rats’. We are experiencing the worst employment rate in 50 years, rupee value at its lowest in 75 years. For how long will the PM distract us by playing ‘Twitter Twitter’.

Congress MP Deepender Hooda termed the action of the ED as political revenge. Talking to the media, he said, “The way ED is handling this matter, for how many hours Rahul Gandhi was questioned and called again yesterday. It smells of an agenda of political vendetta. The voice of Rahul Gandhi and Congress will not be silenced by these actions.”
While senior Congress leaders P Chidambaram Has also targeted BJP. Talking to news agency ANI, he said, “We are protesting against the misuse of the law. If the ED follows the law, then we have no problem. But ED is not following the law. We are asking what is crime? no answer. Which police agency has registered the FIR? no answer. There is no copy of the FIR. They are not following the law. Is there any BJP leader against whom ED has registered a case in the last 4-5 years? Is there any BJP ruled state where ED has registered a case?”
The protesting Congress leaders have been taken into custody by the police. Congress leader Randeep Surjewala has also been detained by the police. Along with Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi has also reached the ED office on the second day.
