The political atmosphere is going on very hot regarding the Rajya Sabha elections. Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Sambit Patra took a jibe at the Congress regarding horse trading and said that they do not believe in themselves, they are so sellable.
In a TV debate about the elections going to be held on Rajya Sabha seats in Maharashtra, Patra said that Congress is saying that BJP will do horse trading here, so are their MLAs so sellable that they do not have faith in them. Patra’s reply came on Congress panelist Gurdeep Sappal’s point in which he said that BJP knows that we have votes for all the four Rajya Sabha seats in Maharashtra and they are trying to buy votes.
Attacking the Congress spokesperson, Sambit Patra said, “In your government, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri were given to those who lived in a circle in Lutyens. At the same time, PM Modi gives them Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri, who really work. Similarly, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Rajya Sabha candidates are also from Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes and women who have done service work at the grassroots level.
Patra’s taunt over Congress candidate list
BJP spokesperson said that you have the candidate list who works to save a family. He asked the Congress panelist that you said that BJP is behaving in the same way as a film had beautiful stories, which was the film we were promoting, whose story was like beautiful stories?
On this, Gurdeep Sappal said that the whole country knows which film the Home Minister was promoting and what happened when it was locked in a box. The point is that in Maharashtra 56 MLAs are from Shiv Sena, 53 from NCP, 44 from INC, 3 from BVA, 2-2 from SP and BJP, 1 from PWPI and 8 MLAs are independent. Overall 169 votes and 168 votes needed.
He said that the Congress is in the era of rebuilding and the team which is engaged in the era of rebuilding is in the Rajya Sabha. The Congress panelist said that if the BJP is claiming that it has given a chance to the grass root people, then from the beginning, the grass root people were given importance in the Congress. From Narasimha Rao, Pranab Mukherjee to Manmohan Singh and from Ashok Gehlot to Bhupesh Baghel, they have no political background. At the same time, he hit back on the candidate list of the BJP and said that the list of candidates that has come should not contain their names, who were entitled to it.
