A major accident was averted at Delhi airport on Monday morning. A SpiceJet plane collided with a pole at the Delhi airport on Monday, injuring both the plane and the pole. The collision took place when SpiceJet’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft was moving towards the runway from the passenger terminal this morning. A SpiceJet spokesperson said in a statement that, “SpiceJet flight SG-160 was scheduled to operate between Delhi and Jammu on March 28, 2022. During the push back the rear edge of the right wing came into close contact with a pole, causing damage to the ailerons. An aircraft was arranged to operate the flight.”
