Hardik Patel’s resignation from Congress has increased the political stir. His move is a big setback for the party before the Gujarat assembly elections. After his resignation, Youth Congress President Srinivas Biwi has reminded Hardik Patel of his old statement. Sharing an old tweet of Patel on his Twitter account, he wrote, “No caption needed”.
In this tweet shared by the Congress leader, Hardik Patel wrote, “Due to victory and defeat, the farmers change the family, not the followers of ideology. I will fight, win and I will be in Congress till my death.” Many users have also given their feedback on Srinivas’s tweet. A user named “Share the Fundamentals” wrote, “What do you get by tweeting this? He has given the reason for leaving the party, now you accept it or don’t. Your thoughts and your perception keep changing and there is nothing wrong with that. Maybe someday you too may leave the Congress party and become a part of some other party or form your own party. At the same time, another user named Babu said, “Looks like you will remain in Congress, last person till your last breath.”
At the same time, a Congress leader has called Hardik Patel greedy for power. Congress spokesperson Amit Nayak said, “If our fight is against the Gujarat government, if in the meantime any of our comrades gets tired and gets distracted and is afraid to come half way and he runs away leaving the fight unfinished. So who can stop him? It is better to fight with capable people than to fight with a weak partner.”
He further said, “Hardik Patel was the working head, the party had given him the post at a very young age. The objections they are making today, did they feel that there was factionalism in Congress only last night? He should have thought all this before joining the party. It was a matter of sour grapes. I think Hardik bhai has to taste more power than being in the opposition. For this he has his own personal interest, due to which he is resigning from the party. This is not going to make any difference to the party.
During this, he also attacked the BJP and said, “Congress party is fighting a battle in front of Bharatiya Janata Party in Gujarat for 27 years. In the 27 years of BJP rule, recession, inflation and unemployment have increased. Today every youth of Gujarat is asking for employment, but the Gujarat government is not able to provide.
