West Bengal BJP leader Jai Prakash Majumdar joined Trinamool today. CM Mamta Banerjee herself got her membership. Mamta has entrusted him with the responsibility of the state vice-president of Trinamool. Majumdar was already expelled by the BJP for his anti-party rhetoric.
Mamta Banerjee said during this that BJP is a party with corruption. These people want to end democracy. Trinamool will show right place by defeating BJP in 2024 elections. Mamta said that in the assembly elections, BJP tried to mislead the people, but in the civic elections, the public has told them their rightful position.
Majumdar and Ritesh Tiwari were suspended by the BJP on charges of anti-party activities. A few days ago, Majumdar had criticized the leadership for undermining the old people. He praised Mamata Banerjee as a street fighter. Majumdar had accused the BJP’s suba leadership of colluding with the Trinamool and colluding with election strategist Prashant Kishor. He is accused of making objectionable statements against BJP IT cell president Amit Malviya.
Questions have started arising after the BJP’s poor performance in the Bengal civic polls. The leaders of the party are raising questions on the high command. When the BJP, which won 77 seats in the assembly elections, did not get a single seat in the civic elections, the party leaders opened a front against their own leadership. When action was taken on him, he started going to Trinamool’s court. The TMC has won 102 seats out of 108 in the civic polls.
Earlier, leaders like Mukul Rai, former Union Minister Babul Supriyo had also left the BJP and joined TMC. The market of speculation is also hot regarding Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari. There are also speculations of him going to Mamta’s court.
