The controversy did not stop even after the suspension of Nupur Sharma and the expulsion of Naveen Jindal in the matter of statement on Prophet Mohammad. Mumbai Police has summoned Nupur Sharma to appear on June 22. Meanwhile, he is getting constant threats. There is a demand for arrest. FIR has also been lodged at three places in Maharashtra.
From social media to TV media, Nupur Sharma is being discussed. A debate was taking place on TV news channel Aaj Tak regarding this matter. In which while answering a question, SP spokesperson Anurag Bhadauria was trying to tell Hindu religion with the couplet of Kabirdas. That’s when political analyst Sangeet Ragi called him a ‘foolish’. However, Bhadauria kept on speaking.
He asked Ragi- “Do you want to talk about hatred? Sanatan teaches us to forgive people, have mercy on people. Have you read Gandhiji? Gandhiji said one should believe in non-violence, do you believe in violence?
On hearing the words of Gandhi and non-violence from the mouth of the SP spokesperson, the music ragi erupted. Recalling the incident of October 1990, he asked the SP spokesperson- “Mulayam Singh, who opened fire on Ram Bhakts, was a Gandhian, was he not? Mulayam Singh, who stood by the rapists, was not a Gandhian, who used to say that children make mistakes. You are sitting with the ideal of morality. Not ashamed to at least criticize what has happened to Nupur Sharma.
Let us inform that Mulayam Singh Yadav, while being the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, had ordered firing on kar sevaks on 30 October 1990. 5 people were killed in this firing. In fact, a crowd of kar sevaks was marching towards Ayodhya. The administration had imposed curfew in Ayodhya, but the crowd was not ready to stop. Recalling the incident, in July 2013, Mulayam Singh had said that he regretted firing but had no other option.
