Lt Gen VPS Kaushik
Lieutenant General VPS Kaushik has assumed charge as Adjutant General of the Indian Army. Before assuming the important assignment on Friday, VPS Kaushik was serving as General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Tri Shakti Corps. “Lieutenant General VPS Kaushik assumed charge as Adjutant General of the Indian Army today. Before assuming this important assignment, he was serving as General Officer Commanding of the Tri Shakti Corps,” the Additional Directorate General of Public Information wrote on social media platform X.
Lieutenant General Vinod Nambiar also assumed charge as Director General and Colonel Commandant of Army Aviation. In a post on X, the Additional Directorate General of Public Information wrote, “Lieutenant General Vinod Nambiar assumed charge as Director General and Colonel Commandant of ArmyAviation. On assuming charge, he paid homage to the brave at the National War Memorial NWM and exhorted all ranks of Army Aviation to continue serving the nation with the same zeal and enthusiasm.”
BSF DG and SDG sent to home cadre
The Center on Friday repatriated Border Security Force (BSF) Director General (DG) Nitin Agarwal and his deputy special DG (West) YB Khurania to their parent state cadre with immediate effect. This information has been given in a government order. Agarwal is a 1989 batch Kerala cadre officer, while Khurania is a 1990 batch Odisha cadre officer. The Appointments Cabinet Committee (ACC) said in separate orders that they are being repatriated “with immediate effect and ahead of time”. The BSF, a security force with about 2.65 lakh personnel, is responsible for guarding the Indian borders with Pakistan in the west and Bangladesh in the east. (Input- ANI)
