Chennai. Indian Coast Guard Director General (DG) Rakesh Pal died of a heart attack at a hospital in Chennai, Defense Ministry sources said.
Sources in Chennai said Pal was scheduled to accompany Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to attend an Indian Coast Guard event but complained of uneasiness following which he was admitted to the state-run Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital (RGGH) during the day.
Sources did not give detailed information about this. An official in New Delhi said, “The Coast Guard Director General died of a heart attack in Chennai.”
