Indian Coast Guard DG: Salary of DG in Indian Coast Guard
The biggest post in the Indian Coast Guard is that of the Director General. Indian Coast Guard Director General Rakesh Pal has recently died of a heart attack (ICG DG Death). He was the 25th Director General. Let us tell you that the Director General of the Coast Guard is a 3-star rank officer. This post is equivalent to the rank of Vice Admiral of the Indian Navy, Lieutenant General of the Army and Air Marshal of the Air Force. The basic salary of the Director General of the Coast Guard is Rs 2 lakh 5 thousand (Pay Level-16) per month.

The Director General, the highest officer of the Indian Coast Guard, oversees the work of all commands from the Coast Guard Headquarters (CGHQ) in Delhi. He is assisted by 4 Deputy Director Generals of Inspector General rank and other senior officers at the headquarters.
