Indian Embassy Visa Center Closed In Bangladesh: There have been large scale violent incidents in Bangladesh after Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister and left the country. Hindus have been targeted in the capital Dhaka, Chittagong and Kulna and other areas. Hindu temples, houses and business establishments have been vandalized. Women have also been attacked. Meanwhile, a big step has been taken amid the rapidly changing situation in Bangladesh. The Embassy’s visa center in Bangladesh will remain closed till further orders. This decision has been taken by the Indian Embassy. In view of the violence, the security of the embassy has also been increased.
Interim government will take oath
Meanwhile, let us also tell you here that Nobel Prize-winning economist Mohammad Yunus will take oath as the head of the interim government of Bangladesh on Thursday (08-08-2024). Officials are busy controlling law and order. After the ouster of Sheikh Hasina, there has been a major reshuffle in the country’s security department. Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman announced on Wednesday that the interim government would be sworn in at around 8 pm on Thursday. He had said that the Advisory Council could have 15 members. General Zaman had said that the army would provide all possible assistance to Yunus.
