New Delhi. The preparations for the Kumbh Mela have started in full swing and with this the Indian Railways is also gearing up to make arrangements for the event with much fanfare. This year, a plan has been chalked out to operate more than 800 special trains to bring and take back the pilgrims coming to the Kumbh Mela. On Saturday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav inspected the control office in New Delhi and held a review meeting with railway officials regarding the arrangements for the Kumbh Mela. Railway Minister has announced that Indian Railways is working on a plan to operate more than 800 Mela special trains for the six main bathing days of January 2025. We are preparing ourselves and the Railways for this smooth journey.

Historically, a huge crowd has been seen in this fair, if we talk about Kumbh 2025, then more than 15 crore pilgrims are expected to come in it. In view of this, excited to make this festival enjoyable and convenient, Indian Railways has approved Rs 837 crore for several works by Northern Railway (NR), North Central Railway (NCR), and North Eastern Railway (NER). . It includes various functions including the facility of waiting rooms and rest rooms. It will take some time for the government to complete all these works, but the preparations for this are being carried out vigorously.
On the other hand, to solve the problem of pilgrims traffic, a plan has been prepared for a total of nine stations of NCR, NER and NR. Necessary steps are being taken for the development of these stations so that the visiting pilgrims do not face any inconvenience during their journey. The Railway Minister has given instructions to ensure the safety of train movement and has strictly said that there should be no compromise on this matter. Along with this, he also told that special trains will also be run for summer, so that people do not face any problem in commuting. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that preparations for the Kumbh Mela should be completed on time so that there is success in making this festival special.
