New Delhi. Indian shooter Ramita Jindal missed out on a medal on the second day of the Paris Olympics. However, there is still hope for India as Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh have a chance to win the bronze medal. Earlier on Sunday, Manu Bhaker had secured a bronze medal for India. Now, both Bhaker and Singh will compete for the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol event on Tuesday.
Ramita Jindal ranked seventh
Ramita Jindal had a disappointing outing in the 10m air pistol final, finishing seventh. Her final two shots of 10.2 were not enough to secure a podium finish. Despite this setback, the 20-year-old shooter impressed many with her performance. Participating in an Olympic final at such a young age is considered a significant achievement, and Jindal is seen as a promising talent for the future of Indian shooting.
Opportunity coming for Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh
Manu Bhaker now has another opportunity to bring home a medal in the mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh. The pair finished third in the 10m air pistol mixed team event and will face South Korean shooters in the match on Tuesday at 1 pm IST.
In the same event, Indian shooters Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Cheema started well but could not maintain their form and finished 10th with a total score of 576-14x. Meanwhile, Bhaker and Singh scored 580-2x. The Indian shooting team is consistently performing well and more success is expected from Bhaker and Singh in the ongoing Paris Olympics.
