Aizawl. Christians, Hindus and Muslims offered separate prayers in Mizoram on Sunday to show solidarity with the Indian armed forces. A Mizoram government official said that on Sunday, all the devotees present in all the churches, temples and mosques of Mizoram prayed and wished the success of the Indian Armed Forces and their all -round welfare.
Mizoram, bordering Myanmar and Bangladesh, has a plurality of Christians, but people from Hindu and Muslim communities also live in large numbers in the state.
Meanwhile, similar solidarity meetings and meetings were held in other states of the Northeast.
Earlier, on Saturday, Assam Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya attended an all -religion prayer meeting in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at Raj Bhavan. Representatives and followers of various religions came together with the integrated sense of peace, solidarity and national harmony in this holy gathering.
The main objective of the Sarvadharma prayer meeting was to make collective prayers for the good prayer of the brave personnel of the nation, its citizens and the brave personnel of the Indian Armed Forces engaged in ‘Operation Sindoor’.
Chief Minister Sarma thanked the armed forces for selfless service, and underlined the importance of prayers to maintain their morale during this campaign. He also said that terrorism is an enemy of humanity and it should be abolished, so that India can be provided more positive energy to make India a world guru.
Nagaland Governor La Ganesan and Chief Minister Nephew Rio jointly called an emergency meeting on Saturday. He also expressed solidarity with the Indian armed forces, national leadership and commitment to national unity and security.
A proposal in the meeting said that the Indian Armed Forces have run a ‘Operation Sindoor’ to neutralize the terrorist structure in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK), maintaining the sovereignty and security of the country as part of the determination of national defense.
He said, “The people of Nagaland, as a glorious citizen of India, are adamant in support of the unity, regional integrity of the nation and the heroic efforts of our armed forces.”
Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired an all -party meeting on Saturday and expressed collective support for the Indian Armed Forces amid a conflict with Pakistan. A Raj Bhavan official said that the leaders of all political parties appreciated the clever and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in dealing with the current situation.
