However, some traders believe that the pre-Holi demand can be seen in the market from the middle of next week, due to which the chances of a slowdown in the prices are less. Sugar traders are waiting for the quota for March, due to which the work in sugar is sluggish at present. There is a discussion in the market that March’s sugar quota may be released 22 lakh tonnes. It is likely to be released from the first week of March.
On Saturday, the arrival of sugar was quoted at Rs 3440 per quintal in the bottom and Rs 3475 per quintal. In Watermelon Magaj also, the demand of local as well as surrounding areas remains strong, while the arrival is very weak, the prices are firm. Watermelon Magaz in Indore was quoted at Rs 280 per kg in the bottom 260 above.
