Ramesh Bhai of Indore, Pankaj of Mhow, Subhash of Dewas, Dinesh of Ratlam, Rafiq of Ujjain or Leela Bai of Depalpur… all these consumers are satisfied with the services of the power company. The power company has taken feedback from 35 thousand 52 consumers during 69 days till now in the year 2022, out of which 99.70 percent consumers have appreciated the services freely.
Amit Tomar, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company, Indore said that as per the orders of Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar, the consumer services activities are being continuously expanded. Apart from technological up-gradation, feedback is being taken by talking directly to the consumers on the phone numbers taken on random basis every day. Managing Director Tomar said that 500 to 510 consumers are being directly talked to every day. Information is taken from these consumers about electricity services like supply, voltage, bill receipt, reading, any other problem or complaint etc.
Continuous feedback is being taken from the consumers of all 15 districts including Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Dewas, Dhar, in which 99.70 percent consumers have expressed satisfaction with the services. In the event of receipt of minor complaints of the remaining 0.30 percent consumers, timely resolution is being done, after the resolution, they are talked to once again. Managing Director Tomar said that Indore Electricity Company’s position is the best in the state in terms of consumer service feedback.

The distribution company is now taking a strict stand on the cases of power theft. A case was registered against the miscreant Dharmendra Thakur and his wife for stealing electricity and running a steam press and ordered to deposit five lakh rupees. When Thakur did not deposit the money, a special court had issued an arrest warrant against both the husband and wife. The court granted bail after Thakur deposited a lump sum of Rs. Along with this, the High Court has also imposed a condition on Thakur, who was accused of cutting fake receipts of electricity bill, that he will not go to any electricity office. If he comes to any zone or other office, his bail will be canceled.
