It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had announced on January 26, 2020, that the children would be educated in their own mother tongue. After this, the officers are busy to implement the announcement.
Books based on story-poem
Additional Director of SCERT, Dr. Yogesh Shivhare informed that 75 books have been written for children from class 1st to 5th and 100 books for children of classes 6th to 8th, which are completely based on the local dialect of Chhattisgarh.

In such a situation, books are being prepared by translating poems, stories from Hindi and other languages into local dialects in small books. These books will be sent to all primary-middle school libraries in the state.
Mother tongue is already applicable in first and second
Books on local dialects have already been prepared in the original books for the children of class I and II of the state. Here children are first being taught their local dialect like rat ko muswa, shirt ko kurtha and chillana as kikiana. After this he is also being told his Hindi. State Council of Educational Research and Training Chhattisgarh has got translation done from Hindi to Chhattisgarhi language.
That’s why we celebrate International Mother Language Day
In 1999, UNESCO decided to celebrate International Mother Language Day on 21 February every year. The new education policy has also focused on the fact that children should be taught first in their mother tongue i.e. their own dialect, so that they can learn other languages easily from their environment.
